It was the most fun I have had at a wedding since my own wedding day. I couldn't figure it out, I have been the best man at weddings, I have known more people at other weddings and haven't had as much fun as last week. Here is my theory on marriage, weddings and love in general. If two people do not belong together everyone knows it, and they spend a great deal of energy pretending that they don't think the bride and groom will end up miserable or in post nuptual mediation. Last weekend there was no pretending and that made it so much more fun. The two friends of mine that did get married really love each other and will probably be only seperated by death.

The end of the world

Brittney and Kevin are divorcing
Reece and Ryan break up
Rumsfeld steps down Gates steps up
Democrats take the House and Senate
The Governator is re-elected
Turkey is desperately trying to be in the EU (The segregationist French will never allow that)
Kazakhstan denies Borat
The world is coming to an end

Cigarettes

The modern tobacco company is a very savvy businessman. There are chemicals in cigarettes now that weren't there when I started smoking. I quit about 5 months ago after being a smoker for 14 years, I have no grounds to be judgemental of smokers so don't misunderstand this to be a soapbox. If you are a smoker and are annoyed at people that say," life is so much better now" it bothered me too. I also couldn't stand when people said,"It's all in your head." it is obvious that people who believe this have never felt the tightness in their chest when they want to smoke sooooo bad. If you are a smoker and want to quit, know this; it is hard! There are no quick fixes, there are no magic pills, it takes effort. I used the patch and still had withdrawal. I do feel good about quitting now, but even that took time.

Thoughts on Iraq

In December 1995, the United States invaded Bosnia Herzegovina where thousands of Bosnians, Serbs and Croats had been executed in death camps. The war in Bosnia raged for nearly four years, entire neighborhoods were "cleansed". Case in point on the Northern border along the Sava river in a town called Brcko (pronounced Birch-ko) pre war statistics show that over 40% of the town's population was Muslim, the post war statistics show that 0.04% of the population of Brcko was Muslim. How can I make such claims? Well I spent over 15 months (two tours) of my life securing voting booths, repelling attacks, patrolling neighborhoods and ensuring that the local people were allowed to live in peace.
Skip ahead to Iraq. Imagine you are a resident of Basra; you disagree with the head of the country's political beliefs and have mentioned this at your local coffee shop. Imagine you are a family man with teenage children, you are sitting on your porch waiting for your children to come home from school. A car pulls up and out steps a couple of men dressed in Special Police uniforms, they ask your name and hold you down in your seat. They pull out a videotape and player for you to watch these same men in Special Police uniforms gang rape your thirteen-year-old daughter. They tell you that you will no longer disagree politically. Most of the residents of Basra are killed in the next week because they don't agree either.
Both of these situations are grizzly and disturbing, what is the biggest difference between these two situations?
Both required American Military intervention, Slobodan stars with S and so does Saddam. One is a country full of white people and the other is a country full of Arabs. Is it easier for the American public to help white people? Murder is murder, both Slobodan and Saddam are charged with crimes against HUMANITY not Blue people or Orange people but HUMANITY. So more important than borders is the desire to preserve life.
I don't really care about people's ideas of the current administration, I do however want to drive home the point that the sacrifice of our service members is not in vain or part of some political agenda but the preservation of human life. If you disagree with why the U.S. went into Iraq that is fine. We have made a pledge to the Iraqi people; if we leave before it is done, thousands more will die.

Googling My Name

I did that today. Also make sure she nods her head Yes for the enitre time the camera is on you both.
- Read a book with a group of minority children, no caucasians!
- Use the word "Education" more than necessary
- Put emphasis on the word TAXES and DROP in the same sentence. .. for example try this " we will raise TAXES until you DROP" what does the unwitting American see??? People don't read the fine print they just skim over it.
-Use a catchy Phrase that people will remember but not really understand like:
"I believe Reconstruction starts with Deconstruction" are you hearing me? Or "New Leadership for Earth (insert where you live here)." Well if it is an election year that kind of is the point isn't it, especially if no re-election is possible for the incumbent.
- When it gets close to election day scare the hell out of people... For instance "Same Sex Marriage" drove the redneck American sentiment to the voting booth and look what you got, the opposing party took up... do you remember? Niether do I, but it clearly wasn't as important as the threat of "Rosie" or "Boy George" getting a tax break.
-Come up with a solution for a current problem regardless of its plausibility," the Spinach ecoli outbreak is a nasty prank of disgruntled sixth graders." So if you are easily offended go elsewhere. I am not a racist, I don't dislike people because they have vaginas or because they have different skin or because their culture is different from mine. I am however an ignorantist (it's a word today), yes I am prejudiced based on one's level of ignoranticism( yes it is a word for the duration of this blog). If you persist in being ignorant it forever colors my opinion of you. I knew a mother once that was frustrated with her teenage son who was being a snit. She actually said to me that she hated the boy . What mother does that? Even Hitler's mother probably didn't hate him, I know Stalin's mother bought the great lie he was selling. So that is ignorant and therefore I am prejudiced against it.
I am told I am abrasive... which is ok. I am told that offends people that are sensitive when I say "Don't be so sensitive." Of course sensitive people don't tell me they are bothered they run to everyone else hence whatever problem they may have had persists. Ignorant don't you think(rhetorically)?
So ignorance is what I hate.

http://8200n.com/unbelievable3/unbelievable3.html

once again tell me what you think

http://www.beecy.net/frank/

please tell me what you think

American Freedom of Speech

I will say this is one thing I will always hold dear! It gives me the freedom to say whatever I want on this blog. I am even allowed to poke fun, go on a tyrade about what others say in their freedom of speech tyrades. Well I am down with people objecting to current policies in the U.S., I am cool with people who don't believe as I believe, because this is America dammit and that is what we do. However I have come to see a particular group that is crazy. It is not even possible for me to say anything about this group without turning red and wanting to beat someone down.

Westboro Baptist Church
If you want to know what they are all about feel free to Google. If you are a decent human being and don't want to throw up than don't.

Where does it say in the Christian ideology that God hates? These people have frequented funerals of dead Soldiers and Marines celebrating their death because they fought for a nation that allows homosexuality. I hope that one day they all end up in jail and Bubba and his pals make a playground out of their buttholes. They have drawn a counter-protest from motorcycle gangs. The great thing is they have a harder time bringing charges against motorcycle gangs with anonymous memberships than police officers who begrudingly allow them to protest. Hehehe. They also have rejoiced in the tragedy of Katrina. So I request all of you out there if you see these people please call you local chapter of outlaw bikers. I guess what I am saying is that deliberate ignorance is an evil that can only be conquered individually.
Injudicious is the word for today.

Sycophants

Well the promotion cycle has begun at work. The Apple polishers and ass kissers are in their prime. I have always felt that just working hard and doing the right things are far better than telling the boss it looks like he's losing weight. Some of my co-workers do not see it that way. They seem to be be comfortable with being lazy and comatose for most of the year until the promotion cycle comes out. This annoys the crap out of me, these shiftless layabouts spend their time kissing up rather than doing their job. Maybe they see that as their job . Could you imagine meeting one at a party (at least one that was honest) , "Hi I'm Bob I tongue bung for a living, it's quite rewarding!"
Hmmm I kind of doubt that would really happen, but wouldn't it be funny. Or try this one, "Hi I'm Sally I slept my way to the top and now I own a 5,000 square foot house in Potomac!"
America would be so much more efficient in the world economy if these flattering grovelers were dimed out for what they really are and the rest of us that do our jobs are rewarded?!@#%@^@&&
OK enough of my ranting.
1984

Why is it that this is my all time favorite book? Does that make me a whacko? I like the "human spirit" factor, it transcends all things I enjoy reading. Even "Fight Club" had a "Human spirit" factor, granted it was bent on destruction of the consuming credit system. Anne Frank hadthe spirit as well. Frederick WEB DuBois "Souls of Black Folk" also has an assault on the early 20th Century American culture. Maybe I just have a dark wierd sort of way at looking at things. I also thought "Syriana" was an awesome movie. On the flipside "Shaun of the Dead" Is really quite cool, the "human spirit" exists but it's funny. Star Wars of course is the modern Battle of good vs. evil. Ok enough about what I like, what do you like?
Concomitant is neat.

Haphazard Wondering 7

Less of a wondering more of a statement.
A friend of mine married a psycho hose beast, I'm talking the kind of chick that throws clothes on the lawn and declares she's pregnant when she's drunk. I decided I would surprise my sweetie by making dinner which I rarely do and with good reason. Chemists are supposed to be excellent cooks. I failed Chemistry in High School. Anyway I felt that my grill was not getting enough attention since the weather turned cold. I can cook on a grill, at least I can do that! So I fired it up, the neighbors look at you funny when when it is 15 degrees outside and you are putting charcoal in the grill. I had a warm coat on! So my culinary ART began. With grilled chicken I thought beans and rice would go well. I like me some beans and rice. This is where my culinary creativity should have stopped. I thought about it. My sweetie would want vegetables with this fine feast I was creating. I thought, "hmmmmm Spinach would go well with beans and rice!" So I pulled the spinach out of the freezer and put it into the same pot as my beloved beans and rice. NOT SMART. It did not work out so well for me. My sweetie desperately tried not to let me see the cringe on her face. So for the next couple of days I'll be having chicken, beans, rice and spinach.
When I lived alone my culinary art was way cooler. Tortillas are great when you roll them up and dip them in chocolate pudding, MMMMMM one of my favorites. Pasta with Ranch dressing was another one of my fine experiences. Hey when you're college and poor and have slim pickin's these fine recipes will work for you.

Further Thoughts on my Horoscope

MY HOROSCOPE SAID TODAY WAS GOING TO BE MUCH BETTER THAN IT WAS! When my sweetie got home she had a fever and went straight to bed. I had to nearly scold her to get her out of her work clothes and into some jammies. Ugh my horoscope is full of it. Then again maybe I wasn't really born in July!@#$@@%^&&*^*(
OK enough of my blatherings what do you think about HO-roscopes?

My sweetie's sister

Over the weekend I saw my sweetie's sister. Mind you we have an od reltationship. When she is imbibing copious amounts of liquor she is actually kind of cool. When she's not it's like throwing the bitch dice, maybe she will be Rosemary's Baby , Malfoy or Marge Simpson. This weekend she was the Marge. I wondered why, because this is quite infrequent. There were no Appletini's involved. So I took it upon myself to smack her in the butt to find out, she quickly turned around and said,"I can't feel it I'm on Percoset." (I think that's how you spell it). So you know you humble narrator took full advantage of this opportunity, it was great fun. In laws can be quite amusing.
Those of you that know her well... I am fairly certain you are amused as well. At this point I began thinking of dropping by the Korova Milkbar.

My Name is Mud!

Just felt like saying that!

Batman cup of coffee

I've decided that I will not grow up now.
I think I will just stop.
Most summers of the past, I've worn the most nauseating Hawaiian shirts I could find. A friend of mine called them "Go to Hell Hawaiian shirts". I noticed this summer I was more inclined to wear the more toned down shirts, while the loudest spent the summer luxuriating in the closet. Does this mean I've grown up? (I am typing this wearing a fleece Superman Bathrobe and drinking coffee from a Batman cup)
My sweetie and her mother I think have devised a plan to get me out of ugly Hawaiian shirts; they both buy me tasteful ones.
My crazy Boxers however do get a fair share of wear (hehehe that rhymes). You say," But no one can see your underpants." True you are right but it's my last ditch effort to not grow up. I've worn Superman underwear in Court (I was not the defendant). Yesterday I wore Underdog Boxers to work and today I may wear Lover boy underwear.
There may be a plot to eradicate Hawaiian shirts from my closet but they will not take my Fundies.
At some small level, I have to stay not old! I wonder if when I'm 90 they will have anti gravitational super suits so I can skip the wheelchair. Even then, I think I will wear my Mickey Mouse Undies.
My Grandmother who's 88 still has a dancing Santa that she turns on every year at Christmas time. It's older than I am but it reminds her every year of how not old she is. Maybe my Fundies will be the same.
Enough of my bellyaching!

new word

tomfoolery is fun.

Alumni Societies

Well it's the weekend and I've been doing house work all day. I "Rug Doctor"ed the carpets and set up the yard for snow, My doggies eyeballed me as a I fooled with their space. All in all it was a good day because I spent it working on ther bank's house. By the evening it was time to go through the mail. My sweetie found an Alumni plea for loot from my old high school. If this were a John Hughes movie I would remember when Molly Ringwald wanted to go out with me and I drove a Porsche... at 16. It wasn't that way! This is where I mention it was a Catholic school. Yes I had to endure the SISTERS for two years. The students were worse. At my school students were driving Porsches and Mercedes. I wasn't one of them. I certainly did not belong, I had longer hair, I had a jean jacket (that was cool), I thought Led Zeppelin ruled, and I was from middle class suburbia. Not mind warping wealthia. I remember one School Dance was $25 to get in. What kind of kid has $25 for some dance?
(Note to Flarf youmade me remember this by your school bus narrative)
Needless to say I was never a cool kid, though I tried like Hell to be one. Luckily I did not have to wonder what I would wear each day because the SISTERS had decided that for me, otherwise I would have dressed up like Axl Rose. I hated that they wouldn't accept me so much that I made it my mission to be way different. I didn't hang with the wierd kids because they were into looking like each other. I was stuck somewhere between wierd and cool, or so I imagined.
I heard from one of the cool girls from high school, she tracked me down on the info super highway. I found out quite a bit about those who I thought were cool. One girl in particular whom I had a monster crush on was always real snotty to me. Got married after college and 5 years later he husband finally let her know he did not swing the hetero way. I have to admit at first I laughed. Then I realized that that is cruel, not that he left but thatI laughed. Does that make me as big of a snot bag? Maybe... well yeah. So the point is you never know when you are the point and laugher or the point and laughee. Does that make me just as pathetic? Who knows, but Carma always has it's way.
Some times you are the Potter and sometimes you are the Malfoy

American Christmas Indictment

Can I skip it this year? Please, I am the Grinch. I was so happy a few years ago, when I found out I could go shopping online. No cement caked make up faces bargain hunting, no kids screaming because they are as annoyed as I am, no more fake holiday cheer. No more of those stands in the middle of the mall trying to sell me baklava makers or head scratch relaxers I never needed before.
This sentiment hit home when a friend of mine was in the Peace Corps and came home for the Holidays from Romania. She was stunned because people in our neighborhood had huge blow up christmas figures on their lawns and the week before she had seen a four year old child jump out of a dumpster as though he had found gold with a half eaten something or another. So yes, I am a Grinch in terms of what christmas is today. Why does caring sentiment have to occur only during christmas what about the rest of the year? Why can't we just throw a Birthday party for Jesus instead of spending the weeks before rummaging through department stores looking for that perfect porcelain figurine? I like Thanksgiving much more! Very little shopping and you get to hang out with family.
At one time christmas was my favorite holiday(KISS was still touring), now it's just a task like taxes. Everybody judging what you got them and deciding how long they would have to keep it around. I knew one woman when I was a kid that had an awful owl clock. I asked her about it one day and she said it was the gift her sister and her had been re-giving to eachother for 15 years as a joke. One year she would have it the next year her sister would have it. I would be happy with an arrangement like that.
Don't get me wrong I relly like christmas day (except for the driving) because I do like hanging out with family, but the time leading up to christmas is like I am stuck in a lousy sitcom and they never roll the credits.
Yes I know I am a bad person, but the imitation holiday jocundity is making me nuts as I get older!

funny word

Tintinnabulate is a neat word!

Doggies and Perfume

I bought my lovely wife some perfume while in Germany. It's one of those froo froo kinds that you can't buy in the U.S. She wears it often and frankly it's kind of sexy. One day dog was watching her get ready (this is normal, the dog follows her around in the morning). Lilo (the dog) was standing behind her while she sprayed froo froo on. Some got on Lilo. That morning before work I kept thinking about the lovely Mrs. (more than normal... and some of it was a little naughty). Hmm I said to myself, "Self, (because that is what I call myself) why is my mind so occupied with my sweetie I've got to get ready for work!" Then I realized the dog was following me around and I pet her. It donned on me that the doggy smelled like the Mrs. That was a weee bit wierd and realized what happened earlier while I was willing the day to not start and my sweetie was putting on perfume. Needless to say the other dog (Darby) who doesn't do a lot of following her people around did not smell like froo froo European perfume. The moral of the story is clear, "Just because they smell like your sweetie does not make them your sweetie."
I wonder do dogs think about that when you hang out with another dog and they smell it on you?

Haphazard wondering 6

Can God Fill Teeth?
I once bought a "Lard" CD in the early 90's. Like today, I am supposed to rely on someone... well I will spending the day at home in my pj's drinking hot tea and reading. People do that when they are sick. So if I am to rely on someone who will it be? I can certainly rely on my doggies finding my favorite pair of socks and making them into "Happy Go Fun Socks" that are only fun if properly shredded an thrown around the room. I can rely on the sun to no longer shine on this side of the planet before the end of the day. I can rely on the mail"person" to put mail in my box. I can rely on my neighbor not talking to me...(she's dangerously anti-social). To get back to my original point my horoscope can apply to everyone, not just those born between June 21st and July 22nd. Though I know they are as ambiguous as the duo, I still read them. Maybe tomorrow they will tell me I will see something I haven't before, like the police hiding under an overpass to give me a ticket.
It is fun to say the word "munificent"

Haphazard wondering 5

Why do people take a pee or take a poop, why don't they say,"I've got leave a poop or pee?"
It is cool to say Provenience!

Haphazard Wondering 4

Weather! If ever you want to know what the weather is look outside. Well I am here to tell you why all disaster strikes (drumroll please)... Evolution is pissed! we as humans for the most part have been thwarting it's every effort for the past 5 decades (or since the invention of the Nuclear Weapon). Tsunami's, Hurricanes even warfare are all tricks in Evolution's magic bag. Look at the Tsunami last year that hit, no warning system and thousands upon thousands perished. Warfare doesn't take as many casualties these days as it did in say WWII or prior. Rita and Katrina had small casualty rates. You hear overpopulation as a concern. So I guess what I am saying is that these things will continue until Evolution catches up or we all go down.
It is fun to say Marsupialia!

Humor

Would Politics in America die if everyone had a sense of humor? Gay Marriage why can't they lose half their stuff like the rest of us? Womens' rights, in relationships sometimes one needs to remember Womens' wrongs in order to survive (they won't let us forget our wrongs). War in Iraq, if we pull out troops this second the region would descend into absolute chaos. Then the people carrying around signs saying," bring our troops home NOW" would realize that regardless of why we are there we can't just up and leave and hope that all will be well, that would make us a 'dead beat dad'. Katrina and Rita, Mother Nature is pissed! Republicans, well they are better looking...(the Bush twins). Democrats get naked in the Oval office ...(Monica Lewinski). If I have offended anyone's sensibility please feel free to harden into one of the polar opposites of American Politics and tell me how stupid the other side is, if I haven't well I hope you chuckled.
It is fun to say sycophant.

Haphazard Wondering 2

Are Sequels always worse than the original?

Haphazard Wondering

If God had a TV would the human race be on Comedy Central?

What defines a good person?

Is it not kicking cute puppies?
Is it not denying a hitchhiker a ride?
Is it not eating Calf?
Or maybe having a good nature towards all people?
People say,"I'm a good person!" but who defines that, his/her peers? Alternatively, is a good person defined by what they refuse to remember what they have done based on self?
Maybe being a good person is relative!
Perhaps to some Milosevic was a good person, others would say he's in jail so it no longer matters.
